Update 4/7/2008: this lot is under heavy re-construction by O'Connor associates and the City of Calgary at this moment, I believe the park is closed to the public.

Easy access from Deerfoot and Glenmore trail. Next to the Roadking Truck Stop. Lots of places to go and be left alone.
Crowd: Truckers from the Roadking Truckstop, which is a 5-10 min walk for them from the truckstop. Bikers, leather guys, lots of different types of guys and ages.***br******br***I was there one night and 2 young hot guys in leather jackets were on one of the picnic tables; not far from one of the parking spots. They let me watch. On several evenings car head was going on in some of the parked cars. Guys were cruising around in the many wooded areas and pathways. If you go further in the pathways go along the Bow River...nice scenery as well and lots of places.

Neighbourhood: Ogden / Lynnwood / Riverbend. The drive through parking lots makes it ideal.

Who's Coming

Truckers from the Roadking Truckstop, which is a 5-10 min walk for them from the truckstop. Bikers, leather guys, lots of different types of guys and ages.

From Glenmore SE: Drive North on Ogden Road through the community of Ogden. Go past the Baseball Diamonds on the left. Go under the CN Train Bridge. Just after that there is a road to the left, which takes you into the park area.
From Deerfoot: Take the Peigan Trail turn off. It turns into Barlow Trail SE. Turn off west or left on 50th Ave. Follow the 50th overpass around. Turn left onto Ogden Road. Then on the first dirt road turn right before the CN train bridge to drive into the park.
Cross street: Ogden Road and 50th Ave. Not far from the CN train overpass.

  • I was there one night and 2 young hot guys in leather jackets were on one of the picnic tables; not far from one of the parking spots. They let me watch.   • Hours:Anytime. Lots of cool places to wander. Lots of pathways. Tables to use. Several parking areas. Park is not used very often by people. Many wooded secret areas to do what ever you want. I have never seen the police go there. The odd person walks their dogs there.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Same as with other Parking Lots / Park areas.
    Cruisiest Spots: Parking areas, picnic table areas, pathways, etc.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Garbage - This has to be one of my pet peeves. It's now wonder that the park workers get so pissed off with the amount of garbage they have to pick up. All it takes is an extra Kleenex to pick up after ourselves when we're done having fun. The amount of garbabe we leave in the "playground" directly relates to the attention we get from "those who must be obeyed". Take the time to clean up after yourself please!!! Personally, I stuff a baggie into my pocket and pack out my own garbage.
    Warnings: None. I have never seen cops in this area. Other guys I spoke to there said the same thing. Very Quite secluded spots.

  • After you follow 50th around the bend you make a right onto ogdon road you go about 30 meters and the entrance is on your right. If you go as far as the ball fields, you went too far.

  • Remember guys this is a public park and here in the City of Calgary the police drive through every park as part of their daily patrol routes....mainly looking for abandoned or stolen vehicles, checking for any vandelism, etc. I have a budy (gay) who works for the police dept. Part of his route are parks in the NW.

    But common sense is that if you are going to get into things with another guy there go find a private spot out of the veiwing of the general public....

    This is why some of the other cruising areas were closed down because of people being stupid......We live in Calgary not Amsterdam!!!
