The guide

Where exactly

Just head south on 51 past campus. You will intersect with Pleasant Hill Road at your first stop light. Make a right and proceed approximately 1.5 miles. The park is on your left. Cross street: Pleasant Hill Road and Illinois 51

Cruisiest spot: The restroom located at the first baseball diamond as you enter the park is the cruisiest spot.

When to go

The park is always open and I have had luck there at all times of the day and night. Best times: Many SIU students and older neighborhood gentlemen are cruising here. I have found that mid afternoon is a great time. Dates open: All year long

Etiquette

Go into the restroom and wait for someone to show up.

Safety

If you catch them during the time that park staff are out mowing the lawn, you will find that they sometimes congregate around the restroom. Probably not a good time to park and sit in there for a long period of time. Have never had any trouble here. All the kid rides and swings are located on the other end of the park.
