Where exactly
From Castlegar, head south on Highway 22. About 4 km south of Genelle, look for Birchbank Station Road. Turn left and head all the way down to the bottom by the railroad tracks. Pass the ballfield on your right and proceed to the paved area straight ahead. Further on is a dirt turnaround for more privacy. Cross street: Highway 22

Stopped there this afternoon. What a beautiful spot. Great scenery and with the river so close, it's nearly like Painted Rock, in Nelson. I didn't see anyone around, but there are quite a few quiet, out of the way areas for parking and privacy. Great location.
