Greenbelt Park

3comments

Just a big wooded area of several acres that go from the main road all the way back to a lake. Trails are throughout the woods and the trails are kept cleared. And as a person who occasionally goes there, I hope anyone who visits the park will please not litter! It's pretty nice in there and it needs to stay that way!

The guide

Where exactly

North on I-65, second E-Town exit, turn left, McDonald's on right about 1 mile ahead; turn right by McDonald's, continue on road, going through a traffic light; stay straight and aprox. a mile out, Greenbelt Park is on the left (watch for big wooded area). Park is hard to recognize it, so watch carefully.

Cruisiest spot: Sit at picnic table and check out everyone who enters the park or walk around in the vicinity of the enterance area to get a feel of who's there in the park. You can usually tell from the number of cars in the lot as to how many people should be back inside the park/woods.

When to go

Sunrise to Sunset Best times: From experience, I say there is no single "Best Time" because it's all a matter of playing the cruising game...you just never can predict when you might run into something causing you to leave the park wearing pants with dirt-stained knees! Dates open: Sunrise to Sunset

Etiquette

Usually, major eye contact, starting up a conversation with someone, just make sure you don't mistakingly hit on an undercover cop.

How come all the posts on this website concerning this area is either done by someone who is a "former member" or "anonymous?" How can anyone put any validity into postings by someone who wont even indicate who they are or where they are from?? Seems rather fishy to me. Maybe they are just hoping to catch some interest and get others to go there. But, the one thing that they did say that is true on both listing about Greenspace and the Park, is ................. watch out, the cops are patrolling this area and have made numerous arrests in the past. Personally, I have found that Otter Creek Park which is a few miles west of Muldraugh, is a better and safe place to meet people in this area. You can go into the woods, or some areas have bathrooms, or you can just meet and go some where else. Definitely safer. And especially for the military. They have to be super discreet, so, take that into consideration. Happy hunting.

The place is actually not more then a 1/4 mile off of Ring Rd. East, on the left, before the light coming from French St., and just up on the right, turning off of Ring! I'll stop by, and take a few pics, so you all know what to look for ...a nice little place, but now that the weather's warming up, be a little cautious, fellas! I drove past today (3/13/2007), and there were 2 unmarked cruisers in the parking lot, set up with radar guns. Po/Po, as usual. But, I had a great time there last Fri.! It's just a matter of caution, and timing! I'm only a mile away from the place, and usually walk/bike...so if you see me, let's go back to my place for a little more privacy...with zero risk of 'unwanted handcuffs', eh!?! Saying 'cruise' will tell me where you've seen me! Licks!!
