Within the LGBTQ community, finding a home or place to belong is sometimes the hardest challenge. For many, fetish families provide that familial opportunity to connect with others and also experience a community that promotes sexual equality and exploration. But there are problems that come from the pup and fetish communities. Being an entryway to the fetish world, some pups find themselves caught in precarious abusive situations. And polyamorous families come across legal issues when dealing with death or marriage. Watch WOOF in its first special screening being held in one Baltimore's newest leather and fetish bar, The Baltimore Eagle. Come experience what makes these kinds of spaces significant for the LGBTQ leather communities and watch a one-of-a-kind film with some of the city's most well-known pups. Follow Joseph Darius Jaafari, a reporter and filmmaker from Brooklyn, New York, as he explores what it means to be a pup, what fetish families are to these pups and how they're solving issues within the community that few know how to address. 21+ Limited seating, so be sure to book your ticket online. Advance screening begins at 8 p.m., with a Know Your Pup event, sponsored by the Baltimore Eagle, directly afterwards. Be sure to arrive at 7 p.m. to grab a drink and mingle with some pups.
