Charlotte-based Alumnus Artist Ivan Toth Depeña invites you to explore the notion of memory through an immersive, illusory experience at the Opening Reception of his exhibition *remember* at McColl Center for Art + Innovation. Drawing inspiration from actual histories of McColl Center over the last century, the exhibition consists of a mixed media installation encompassing drawing, painting, sculpture, audio, and video. Depeña also incorporates a groundbreaking augmented reality mobile application that exists in various locations throughout the site of the installation. On our 2nd and 3rd floor galleries, check out work from our current Artists-in-Residence Mark Steven Greenfield, Glexis Novoa, Sheila Wyne, Orit Hofshi, Aubrey Longley-Cook, and Marion Wilson. > Free beer on tap from Blue Blaze Brewing and NoDa Brewing Company (until the kegs are dry). Cash wine/bottled beer bar. A complimentary exhibition program for *remember*, with images by Depeña and an essay by Guest Curator Amanda Sanfilippo of Fringe Projects in Miami, will be available at the opening reception. The exhibition runs from November 11, 2016 to January 7, 2017
