The guide

Where exactly

From Elgin, east on Rt. 58 (Golf Road) to rt. 59. Turn north on rt. 59(Sutton Road). It will be about half a mile on rt. 59, just before Shoe Factory Road, on the west side. Or, about 1/2 of a mile south of I-90, just past Shoe Factory Road, on the west side. Cross street: Shoe Factory Road

Cruisiest spot: Any of the path areas toward the back. During the winter, there is activity in the cars and vans.

When to go

Dawn until dusk. Best times: Around noon, after work and about one hour before closing. Dates open: All year but the back is closed during the winter.

Etiquette

Except for the winter, either walk one of the paths or watch from your car and then follow someone.

Safety

This area is patrolled so use reasonable caution. Dog walkers also frequent these woods. Avoid on summer week-ends because there are always large groups there then.
