Best time
After dark and about 8:30 -9:00 pm is when the cruisers come out.
Crowd
All sorts of guys. Best spot to hookup with discreet guys who have to and go.
Watch out
Guys who smoke or use the cell phone in a heavy cruising spot.

The guide

Where exactly

The park is on the Daimond Head end of Waikiki. It is large but most of the cruising happens in the grassy area just mountainside of the fountain. Travel down Kalakaua Avenue past the Aquarium to the fountain in the center medial strip. Cross into the park. Cross street: Between Ave and Kalakaua Ave

Cruisiest spot: Under the large banyan tree, in the unlit tennis courts near the archery range.

When to go

After dark and about 8:30 -9:00 pm is when the cruisers come out. Best times: 9:00 - early morning. Earlier on weeknights. Dates open: every day

Etiquette

Some police patrols. Do not park your car in the Diamond Head Tennis courts parking lot as that raises police suspicion.

Safety

Guys who smoke or use the cell phone in a heavy cruising spot. Some police, but they don't usually get out of their cars. Sometimes there are police on their little ATVs driving through the park, though you can ususally hear them from a mile away (literally).

will be there today--Pride event~~~ look for the GL guy in the red baseball cap--black shorts come up to me and say "cruise"
