This is not a "busy" cruising spot, but it is a nice place to meet up. There are several secluded places, including the woods at the back.

Where exactly

This picnic area is on Rt. 49 about two miles west of Avinger, between Avinger and Hughs Springs. Cross street: Right On State Route 49

Cruisiest spot: Just back into the small parking area, and either sit in your vehicle or at one of the four picnic tables.

When to go

It's a Picnic Area, right on the highway, accessible 24 hours a day. Best times: Just about any time can be a good time, although this is not a "Hot Spot!" Mornings (before noon) seems to be the best, although a few truckers have been known to park along the roadway in front of the picnic area at night.

Etiquette

For a chance meeting, be friendly and strike up a conversation when someone stops by!
