This is a City Park with a fishing lake and boat landing. The road goes to the end and there is a loop turn-around.

Best time: Open 24 hours.
Crowd: Gays, Bi, married, older men, some couples.
Watch out: No place to have unseen but currently the best place to cruise.

The guide

Where exactly

Take exit 101 from I-10 south on U.S 167 (also called Evangeline Thruway) to University. Turn right, you'll see the lake, the park and the landing. Cross street: University and Evangeline Thruway

Cruisiest spot: Lake road. New bathroom built but lots of foot traffic from straight boaters that use the dock.

When to go

Open 24 hours. Best times: 10:00 A.M. to Noon weekdays and after dark most days. Best on Friday nights and some Saturdays. Dates open: open 24/7

Etiquette

Drive up and down the road and around the loop with windows down and check out the guys. Park on the side of the road or at the boat ramp and make eye contact or tap brakes when you see a guy you like. Best to have a place to go for because there's not much privacy and the cops patrol from time to time.

Nudity: Don't get naked there.

Safety

No place to have unseen but currently the best place to cruise. Cops patrol in marked and unmarked cars and on foot. They sneak up from the sidewalk that goes under the bridge.
