Where exactly

5 kms out of Sorges, on the Perigueux road there is a main stream rest area on the left then a further 1Km on there is a secluded rest area also on the left. You can turn off the main road into the second lay by.

Cruisiest spot: In the woods to the right of both rest areas.

When to go

Most of the day although the regular rest area gets busy at lunchtimes with caravans and pic-nickers. Best times: Anytime.

Etiquette

Check out cars with single occupants. Locals drive cars with '24' plates. Wander into the woods. Lots of hides for action. In the regular rest area the owner of a house down the road has been known to threaten guys with the police.

Safety

Very occasionally the police pull into the rest areas. If you're English, just make out you don't know where you are and that you've stopped for a .
