Coco Beach

Beautiful beaches and great water for swimming. Straights and gays alike roam the beach, but it's not too crowded. Women often go topless; some guys are nude. Guys cruise all along the beach, and mess around in the water and in the bushes. Some guys even cruise in boats. 10/27/04 Another cruiseer adds: Most of the gay cruising occurs further north along the beach since a resort opened on Coco Beach.

Walk the beach N from the town, or S from the El Caracol hotel. Best spots are in between two partially constructed but abandoned resorts.

You need to be very clear and direct with guys who are too persistent. Avoid the beach at night. Cops will hassle you for money.
