Is This Your Business?

I gave it a "high" rating because mgt is very polite/ they leave you alone and, because, there is no other book store in the Rochester area that is as hassle free. No one nagging you for quarters, no one nagging you for hanging ar
Crowd: The young, the old, the cool and the desperate too. You name it.

Who's Coming

The young, the old, the cool and the desperate too. You name it.

I390 to Jefferson Rd (rt. 232), turn west onto Jefferson, go about a mile and a half, turn right onto Brighton-Henrietta Townline Road. (There?s no street sign on the right as of 07/31/04, but there?s a bar called McGregor?s and a U-Haul immediately before that traffic light) The store?s only a couple of hundred yards on the right; it?s hard to miss the big sign out front
Cross street: Jefferson Road

  • Hours:24/7 (Closed Christmas day).
Best times: Lunch hour, late afternoon, mid to late evening.
    Dates open: Morning 'til midnite
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Leave your door cracked or just hang in the hallway -- don't be shy. There are fixed rate preview booths, and there always have been at this store. Currently, it's only $8 and you can watch any movie in the store for a little over an hour, DVD or VHS - you can even FF and REW it, so you can skip any crappy scenes, or re-watch a good one. preview It's a much better deal than the "regular" booths, in which you get about 4 minutes per dollar, and you can't fast forward or rewind. Just be discreet.
    Cruisiest Spots: Video arcade
  • Wheelchair Accessible:Yes / the store is handicap accessible. (except for most of the video arcade itself, which of course is the important section of the store). Some, but definitely not all, wheelchairs are too wide to fit into the newer booths. Most chairs fit into the booths in the older arcade, near the front of the store
  • Warnings:Sometimes too quiet during off hours. No fixed rate preview booths (a real inflation fighter if you want to hang for a couple of hours). Occasional loudspeaker admonitions.
Warnings: Security cameras imposed by city. A lot of undercover police with nothing better to do than wander around being nosy, looking for reasons to cite customers or the store.
