Where exactly

Take I-805 south to H St. and head east on East H St. to the traffic signal at Paseo Ranchero and turn left. Go 2 blocks then turn right on Rancho Del Rey Pkwy. Across the street on the left will be a sign identifying Rice Canyon Preserve. Turn left into the parking lot. Facilities in Discovery Park

When to go

Used to be good around lunchtime and after work.

Etiquette

Many people hanging out in parking lot. Make eye contact and follow them off to the trails.

Nudity: Be descreet.

Safety

Haven't seen any police/ranger presence there, but be careful.
