just off the 805 freeway, take Clairemont Mesa Drive going east. First right at the light is Shawline Street, LA Fitness is just a block down on the right next to WalMart in the McGrath shopping center.

  • Hours:4am to 11pm
    Best times: 7pm to 9pm weekdays
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:They have free two week passes that they will extend and extend, you just have to do a little tour for about 5 minutes. I have heard that most guys just ask to see the evening personal trainer, he is usually so busy that he just lets them in for free to try out the gym, one of the evening personal trainers on the week nights is built like a brick house with a donkey
    and is also gay. I know he has a thing for guys in bulging spandex, he has let me in for free many times because he likes my basket. So stuff yourself into tight spandex or tight workout gear for your best bet.
    Cruisiest Spots: Near the Personal Trainers station, there is a private room the trainers let guys use for ab circuits.

  • Warnings:The day time staff is really straight, but the evening staff after 7pm are really cool.

  • Anyone still go there? I go in the evenings around 7.... It's a great place with plenty of guys to meet... Never been disappointed.

  • I agree w/ xtxnla, as I workout here regularly. Lots of good looking guys but not really a place to "hook up". Most guys just like to walk around like chiseled gods w/ occasional glances. The sauna is a fun place but most guys wear shorts. Showers can get interesting but I wouldn't hold my breath. This is definitely not a slam dunk. More like a hit & (more likely) miss... unless you just like to look at eye candy.

  • My gym - there 3 times a week, and there is the occasional side glance, but this is not an 'active' place. No steam room, by dry sauna does get interesting at times - usually discreet hard ons from curious straight guys. Be very careful, though.

  • I've had hot jo sessions in the showers and saunas. lots of str8 hot guys like to show off their bodies in the locker room here. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up for some post work out fun in the sauna or showers. Let me know when
