Is This Your Business?

Conveniently located in the West San Carlos Center between See's Candies, and Cash & Carry, San Carlos Video is a video rental store carrying theatrical titles on DVD from G-Rated shows through NC-17 on their main floor. However, they also have a large selection of -Rated Adult films on DVD in their backroom, which is accessed through the double bat-wing doors in the back right corner of the store. An entire aisle is reserved for Gay DVD's from around the world - something for every taste and preference, including most niches.

Neighbourhood: Burbank/Midtown

San Carlos Video is located on the north side of West San Carlos Street about half way between Bascom Avenue and Meridian Avenue. Both Bascom and Meridian have exits from I-280, and Bascom also intersects I-880. The closest cross street is Shasta.
  • Hours:The store is open from 10am to 11pm, 365 days a year, plus one extra during leap years.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Go into the Adult section, and the third row on your left is GAY. It is safe to bet that any guy in that aisle is and curious, if not Bi- or Gay. Make eye contact. Watch for tells, like crotch grabbing. You might even pull the old title suggestion ploy if you actually see one you can recommend. Don't be a nuisance. If the guy isn't interested in company, move on. Discretion is the key.
    to success.
  • Nudity / Policy:No or Nudity on the premises. The Adult Section is under extensive surveillance by security cameras. Yes, you probably could find a dead zone, but then you'd have to deal with other customers. Remember, this is a rental shop trying to do business: they don't want you hassling their customers. Also, help them pay their rent by actually renting a DVD. They have low rates to begin with, and specials and promotions. Don't be cheap. Remember, they are helping us.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Yes. Wide double doors and aisles. All on one level. Handicapped parking spaces reserved out front.
  • Warnings:Every time I go there, I seem to run into someone interested in a little company. At night, the parking lot is large and dark, or you can go 'home' with him/them.
DON'T BE A NUISANCE. WATCH THE EXCESSIVE LOITERING.
