In the summer it's possible to have some fun just off the trail. But the parking lot is always good, especially after dark. The bathroom seems to be open year round.

Where exactly

Just get on Woodland Drive from either end. The trailhead is on the west side of the road, you can't miss the parking lot and forest service type restroom. Cross street: Woodland Drive

24/7/365 Best times: After dark.

Safety

It helps to have three guys there, one to keep a lookout just in case. Things are more fun that way anyway.
