Where exactly

The best place to get to it is at the junction of Ferry Road and Avenue Vivian, at the Cocked Hat pub and Park Library. You can park at the library across the road from the woods. Alternatively, park on Sherwood Vale, at the top of the hill off Doncaster Road. Tho woods go right through to Ferry Road. Cross street: Avenue Vivian / Ferry Road

Cruisiest spot: There are clumps of trees / bushes in the sloping field, plenty of descrete spots in the main woods.

When to go

Any time. Best times: Mornings aren't very good, the rest of the day is fine. Dates open: It is just open woodland.

Etiquette

Pretend to be taking a in the woods. Or if you have a dog, just sit by the path with it.

Safety

There are lots of people walking there dogs. The police are often in the nearby neighbourhood, but hardly ever go into the woods, they're pretty safe.
