Where exactly
Any map of Split will show you. It's on the most Western tip of Split (Marjan Peninsula) on the South Side, right next to the Oceanographic Institue.
Cruisiest spot: Anywhere along rocks closest to Green Lighthouse of Oceanographic Institute. Rocky crevises to hide in.
When to go
Warm weather, day and night.
Etiquette
Be discreet. Boats do go by. Pack light because you will need all available limbs to navigate the paths. You can also walk from town, which I did. Its not too far if you follow the main road to the Institute. If you follow the water's edge then be prepared for a long walk and one or two dead-ends.
Nudity: Yes / Update: cruiser says: The beach is really nice and was quite sheltered from the prevailing wind. The only person bathing nude was a lady. There were a few tourists at the beach but all remained clothed. FKK Beach. Totally ok.
Safety
None really. Not enough people know about it. Few straight couples go there, but I've seen them have too!
