Where exactly

Heading away from Manchester on the M66, the motorway becomes a dual carriageway and then comes to a roundabout at Rising Bridge. Take the first exit and immediately on your right will be a Shell petrol station, a McDonald's and a Little Chef restaurant. There is a truck park behind the petrol station.

When to go

The petrol station is open 24/7, McDonald's closes at 11pm. Best times: Action available from mid evening onwards. Generally speaking, later is better. Sunset until midnight is when I have had most success.
