October means Halloween and this year we are delving into some infectious insanity to mark the occasion. Invasion Mk XII will feature much of the same festive rollicking madness you expect…Ferndale, The MGM Grand, the wild party buses, but in honor of the witching season our event will climax this year with an excursion to the utterly indescribable Theatre Bizarre. If you have not heard of this insanely wild ride then hang on. It is over the top madness and something you will not want to miss. Detroit’s fabulous Masonic Temple, the largest of its kind and elaborately detailed with sweeping staircases, tile encrusted walls and giant auditoriums spread over four floors plays host to the wildest eccentric, alternative circus anywhere, complete with main stage and strolling entertainers from all over the world. If you are thinking a Fellini film on acid you are not far off. However, entrance to Theatre Bizarre requires a costume, and the event SELLS OUT every year. So we are opening registration early in order to get tickets while we can and also to give everyone a chance to obtain a suitable costume. Corsets, Victorian gear, Steam Punk, etc. all encouraged. Registration is now open! http://tgdetroit.com/invasion-updates/
