About
Queer Roast for the Straight Host is a live comedy format in which queer comics roast straight comics, and no punchline is off-limits. The night is hosted by Andrew Stier, with Joel Kim Booster, Adam Conover and Antonio Rosello on the bill, plus more performers still to be announced. Between sets, the straight comics face outrageous challenges or dares, and one audience volunteer is pulled into the hot seat. The format has been featured in the LA Times in a piece on LGBTQ+ comedians redefining roasts as an art form. The show takes place on 29 October 2026 at Hollywood Improv (The Lab), 8162 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, California. It starts at 21:30. Tickets cost 16.47 USD. Seating is general admission, first-come, first-served, except for groups and premium booths, and there is a two-item minimum purchase in the showroom for all guests. Phone use, photography and video recording are not permitted during performances, and all sales are final.
