Queer Mischief: A Queer Magic Halloween Party in Oakland

About

Queer Mischief is a Halloween night from Queer Magic, held at Crybaby, 1928 Telegraph Ave in Oakland. It runs from 4pm to 10pm on 31 October 2026 and is billed as a night of spooky, sexy, queer magic. Three DJs keep the dance floor going: DJ Sucia, DJ Black Woman and DJ Kurren$i. There are also performances on the bill. At 7pm the costume contest begins, and guests are encouraged to arrive in their spookiest, sexiest, queerest looks. Pre-sale tickets cost less than door sales. Door tickets are $25 before 6pm and $30 after 6pm. The event is 21+ and a valid, non-expired physical ID is required, with no refunds for lack of ID. Refunds are available only up to 48 hours before the event. Crybaby is an ADA compliant venue. Queer Magic asks guests to be mindful of their substance consumption and to practise enthusiastic consent on the dance floor and everywhere else. Organizers are on hand for support with mediation or intervention, and the team follows a restorative justice-informed approach to conflict resolution. Anyone endangering themselves or others, ignoring consent, or extremely intoxicated may be asked to leave.
