The guide
Where exactly
The nearest the motorway exit are : Sarzana or Marina di Carrara. Drive in the direction of Ameglia. After that you need to find Bocca di Magra area that is quite easy, now you need to go up to the hill in direction of Montemarcello. Half way (to Montemarcello Village) you will find a sign on your left to a Monastery ignore it. As soon after this sign you have turn left! Is not easy to spot this turning! It can help the fact that soon you enter this road there are 2 big square green bins for the garbage. Drive to the end of the road. Do not pass the gate (with the car) after this is not permitted to park! Is a Protected area! Park the car where there is not tarmac! Or on the side of the road make sure that the wheel are not on the tarmac or you can get a fine! Now you need to walk down to the beach! Keep the right and carry on to walk until you pass the second world war fort that you will find on your right. After 50 mitres turn left going downhill. After that take the first turning on the left and carryon until you will arrived to the beach.
