The rest area is currently closed. I think the ND Highway Dept is intending to tear it down and rebuild a new facility (they are doing this all over the state). If they do, do not expect a new structure for over a year!

In all the years I've ever stopped here only once did I connect with someone. Even when I have been there at the supposedly active times no one else was around.

Cruising is best done at night or between 3-6 in the afternoon. Many truckers stop there for a little relief, as do airmen and farmers.

It's 15 miles from Minot, just past the Norwich turnoff.

Highway Patrol has been known to pull over to parked cars and question the driver as to why they are there, especially if they have driven by twice and same car is still there--be careful.
