Red Eye NY: Queer Cabaret and Nightclub in Hell's Kitchen, New York
Red Eye NY is a queer owned and operated coffee bar, cabaret and nightclub at 355 W 41st St in Hell's Kitchen. By day it is a full service coffee bar, and by night an espresso cocktail bar. It has a main stage for cabaret and shows, a dance floor and The Cockpit, a party room. The audience is mixed: gay male, bi, lesbian, trans and allies. On Wednesday, STAGE FRIGHT starts at 10pm with weekly special guests, hosted by Marti Gould Cummings, and no cover. Thursday is Drama Club: buy a drink and sing a song. Monday has Crash Landing Comedy, and Tuesday has SCUFF, queer country dancing with a beginner line dance class before the socializing. Saturday is Vogue with Jason Rodriguez, drop-ins welcome. Sunday has NADA, a naked bar night, and Red Idol, with no cover. Third Eye Yoga, a Vinyasa Flow class with clothing optional, runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5pm.
