There is a riverbed down below with trails and paths and sometimes even a few nude sunbathers. It would also be advisable to bring some insect repellent. Make sure it is deep woods. Make a day of it! *Update August 2002: there was a fire, but it hasn't stopped the action, which is actually better as it is confined to one area.*

Where exactly

I-15 North to the Kenwood exit. It's the first exit past the I-15/I-215 merge. Turn left to end, then right. You are on old Route 66. It's quite a ways, but eventually you will see the parked and/or cruising cars, and a large parking area on the left. Park and walk around. cruiser adds:The exit is Kenwood Ave, but once you turn north on old 66, the road name is: 'Cajon Blvd.' Main area is just south of the intersection of 'Swarthout Canyon Rd.' cruiser adds: The parking area on Old Route 66 is 3.7 miles north of Kenwood.
