cruiser Update: This rest area was removed. A replacement rest area with MUCH more truck parking has replaced it at approx mile 160, just east of the M-52 / Chelsea exit 159. There are no bushes or outside area at this rest area, but it is constructed in the newer style with two distinct rooms for each gender -- the trucker side is generally much more likely to have cruisers in it. The rest area is very active, warm nights with activity occuring outside behind the denser bushes.

I drove past there this afternoon - the new one (up on a hill, no trees) close to Chelsea is open. The old one close to Baker Rd is being totally torn apart.

This rest stop does not exist anymore. Buildings torn down, exit closed. Don't waste your time.
