This place is amazing! I've never seen so much activity in one place. This is a "scenic overlook" with picnic tables. It sits at the top of a large hill, with lots of foliage. So it is very well hidden and you cannot see what is at the top of the hill from the highway below. There are numerous trails that lead down the backside of the hill into the woods. After you spot someone you're interested in, you can go down a trail and play. Every kind of man that exists visits this place. Cowboys, bi-married men, blue collar men, yuppies, college boys, mid-20s guys, 30's guys...they all stop by for a quickie!

This is about an hour east of Austin, on Hwy 71. It lies midway between Smithville and La Grange. It's just on the Fayette county line. There are blue TxDOT signs that read "Scenic Overlook" on both eastbound and westbound lanes. You can't miss it!

Cross street: Lady Bird Loop - Hours:Any time of the day! It's always busy and it's always cruisy! Midday and afternoons are good. Evenings seem even busier!
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Park, then walk around till you find someone you like. Or you could hang out near a picnic table and then wait for someone to come to you.
Cruisiest Spots: Picnic table at the far corner of the rest area. It overlooks oncoming traffic and the highway below. - Wheelchair Accessible:No
- Warnings:Lots of tourists and sometimes families passing by. Recently spotted a local sheriff's deputy patroling the area. Could it be that they are now aware of what goes on in this gay oasis? 11/19/04 Another cruiser reports: This place is ok it has cooled down a little since the fake camera went up. Still very hit or miss. Early AM or Late PM is the best time to go.
