**A lot of ti trees have been removed, and the place has quieted down since Easter, but it needn't. There are still secure places. Come back!** Most guys cruising will drive along Pt. Ormond Rd. and check out the boys from their cars. Most will park and wander through the ti trees, crossing the road several times in a visit. Trails are well marked from heaps of cruising activity, both day and night. The hottest/most discrete places for getting off can be identified (during the day) by the amount of discarded paraphenalia: used , wrappers, and empty amyl bottles and the occasional loose change! For an encounter where you don't want to be disturbed, move away in either direction to other bushes/ti trees in the area. It's relatively safe. The police used to frequent the area.
Crowd: A whole range of guys, mostly gay, but quite a few married/bi guys, some tradesmen. Late night clubbers go through in the wee hours of Fri/Sat/Sun. nights.
