Obelisk Beach

The beach is small but very pretty. The area is 95% gay and a Sydney icon. The bushland and rocks can be quite rugged, clearly defined paths though, and the views are breathtaking. No toilets or shops - take a bite to eat and a couple of bottles of water. Some people stay all day - some just pass by for a quick play.

In the afternoon the beach is in shade. It is small & can get crowded.

From hot young guys, to ancient old queens.
Watch out
It's part of Sydney's Harbourside National Park system.

You need a car or a bike, but there is a frequent bus service also to the Balmoral Naval Base (HMAS Penguin). Sydney boy's know it well! UPDATE: bus 244 from the Queen Victoria Building in the city. Cross street: Chowder Bay Road

Cruisiest spot: The Harbourside bushland around the Obelisk.

When to go

In the afternoon the beach is in shade. It is small & can get crowded.

Smile. There are voyeurs everywhere. Watching and being watched is part of it!

Nudity: Yes / Skin everywhere (optional).

Safety

It's part of Sydney's Harbourside National Park system. Take ALL your rubbish(trash)home with you!
